Domaine Ligas' 'Le Rosé' is a mildly vinified wine that reflects the unique terroir of Pella, northern Greece.

It is a natural rosé wine from Xinomavro, fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks, then aged for 6 months in old French Selosse Champagne barrels and bottled unfiltered.

This wine is not your typical light rosé. Instead, it has a robust structure, complexity, deep color, tannins, acidity and an intense tomato character.

Enjoy 'Le Rosé' with our homemade seasonal chutney, some delicious Greek cheese (dependant on seasonality and availability) and carob breaksticks.

And a bit of history...

The Ligas family wine tradition goes back several decades and started with Thomas Ligas. After graduating from Thessaloniki, he followed his passion for wine in France. Upon his return, he founded the family winery in Pella, which would become known throughout the world for its fantastic, natural wines. Thomas now has his two children, Melissanthi and Jason, by his side, who studied permaculture in France.

With a philosophy that stays true to natural winemaking, they create wines based on local varieties that reflect Pella's unique terroir. Their success is such that their wines are sought after worldwide and, of course, are sold before bottling. 'Le Rosé' from Domaine Ligas is one of them and perhaps one of their best!
